Who runs Velocity
A team of students at Open Minds Foundation, a youth-led nonprofit started in June 2025.
Open Minds Foundation
Open Minds Foundation helps young people turn ideas into real projects. Since June 2025 it has run case competitions and community events, and built a network of partners who support youth-led work with funding, resources and advice.
Velocity is the Foundation’s first event on Vancouver Island and one of four case competitions it runs, alongside Momentum, Inspire and the Lord Byng Case Competition in Vancouver. The organizing team planned the first one over six months.
